“My daughter got married there yesterday and it was amazing. From the moment we made our first enquiry, we received top quality service. The wedding package included everything we could possibly want and Sophie and Gail looked after us very well. I would definitely recommend as a wedding venue.”

“Me and my husband got married at The Black Horse this Thursday and I was blown away by how amazing they made our day for us. From Sophie being the most amazing wedding planner to Fiona decorating our function room to perfection. The bar staff and chefs were also absolutely fantastic and all of our guests completed how lovely the food was.

You all made our dream day a reality and we are so thankful to each and every one of you.

If you are in the area or planning a wedding I would 100 % recommend giving them a visit I promise you won’t regret it.”

“My partner and I stayed at the Black Horse for two nights to attend a family function in the village.

This is a fantastic location and one I’d recommend to anyone visiting the area. On arrival, the pub was warm, welcoming and friendly, with lovely decoration and a buzzing atmosphere. Liv, Trev and Sophie who checked me in were welcoming and kind and we had a nice chat, before we went up to the room – smart, clean and well decorated with probably the best water pressure I’ve ever had in a hotel shower!

We didn’t dine in the restaurant (which was full!) but we did stay for a few drinks and I had a lovely pint of Guinness. Ellie, the manager, is doing an exceptional job – bringing warmth, care and high standards to a brilliant pub/hotel.

I could not recommend this pub more highly – it is a diamond in the rough that is rural Lincolnshire. The staff are an absolute credit to the village they live in and the top quality sleeping and drinking experiences mean the Black Horse will always be my go to when I am in the area.

Giving 5 stars because there’s no option for 6!”

“Lovely place to visit. Food was so good we had to go back to try more. Had we not had a Wedding in between visits, it would probably have been three visits in a row. Undoubtedly one of the best burgers I have tasted. All members of staff were extremely helpful, polite and courteous. Definitely recommend as a must try for meals. If I am ever in the neighbourhood again, I would most definitely be booking a table there again.”

Martyn Rocket - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“A very pleasant 2 night stay at the Black Horse, it is well located for visits to Stamford and Burghley.

The room was large and clean, and a very comfortable bed. The pub bar closes quite early so no problem with noise.

We ate in the pub restaurant, good pub food and great service.

My only warning, watch out for the……….huge full English breakfast!

Deffo stay here again if visiting this area.”

Martin Fisher - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Greeted with a warm welcome, great service and excellent food.We came as a family of 8 on the Friday following a funeral and everyone’s mood soon picked up and we really enjoyed the environment and service. I then brought my visiting nephew, two days later for the Sunday carvery. The three courses were a delight. The service, all young ,teenagers were energised, polite and brilliant, especially, Ed serving the carvery.

And to top it all the menu had pineapple turnover sponge pudding and custard!
It was truly an unexpected treat,

I hadn’t had since my secondary school days and loved it! Thank you and well done!”
